Laser cutting, 3D printing and die cutting inside RAFT’s San Jose facility, open to RAFT members.
RAFT’s building on Ridder Park Drive has a working maker space attached to the store. A member can design something on a computer, cut or print it, and carry it out the same hour.
It is two connected spaces. The Educator Workroom holds the workstations and the die-cutting equipment, including a Cricut machine. The Educator Lab holds the laser cutter, the 3D printer and computers running design software, so a file can be finished properly before it is cut or printed. Both are member spaces. The Workroom is open any day the store is open, with no appointment needed; the Lab runs alongside a member workshop or by arrangement.
The Workroom is set up as separate stations, with a maximum of three members and one staff member working in it at a time.
The Innovation Lab is for RAFT members. Membership is $25 a year, and it also gets you 25% to 50% off in the store and access to RAFT’s professional development resources.

RAFT runs member workshops and events in the lab for individuals and small groups who want to get confident with the laser cutter, the 3D printer and the rest of the kit. They sit alongside RAFT’s wider professional development program.
The same building has a Classroom and a Lounge you can book for a meeting, a presentation or a workshop, with seating arrangements for up to 50 guests. The rate includes the room and its audio-visual setup, which is a Zoom Room.
Snacks and water are not included but can be added for $5 per person. If your group buys RAFT memberships alongside the booking, the discount comes off the room rate: 25% off for 5 memberships, 50% for 10, 75% for 15, and the room is free at 20 or more.
