Eggshell Chalk

Do you know what eggshells and chalk both have in common? Calcium carbonate (CaCO3)! CaCO3 is the chemical in chalk that lets us draw on the sidewalk. Eggshells also contain CaCO3 in them, making them a great alternative to store-bought chalk.
