With drastic changes in the education landscape due to a global pandemic, RAFT has produced distance learning resources to help the education community.

Virtual Professional Development

Explore ways to make distance learning fun, engaging, and relevant through hands-on learning. We offer a series of virtual opportunities focused on building a virtual community of makers and problem solvers using RAFT STEAM Project Kits and other resources in the remove classroom. Student Engineering Challenges

Created and facilitated by RAFT staff, students engage in engineering challenges that take advantage of household materials and/or use RAFT supplied materials. Challenges can be live or asynchronous. RAFT will showcase student design solutions on our social media platforms. This is a great way to engage your learning community in fun hands-on activities without burdening teaching staff.

Educator Planning and Custom Kits

We can support you with creating individual project kits aligned to distance learning curriculum and to be used at home. Our services include thought partnership, materials sourcing, packaging and shipping or delivering materials to your organization.

STEAM Project Kits

Our STEAM Project Kits take the guesswork out of lesson planning. Just choose a topic and leave the rest to RAFT. These kits offer quality hands-on learning activities and include required materials, assembly instructions, and suggested extended activities. We partner with schools to provide individually packaged STEAM Project Kits along with educator training for distance learning implementation.
