In response to the recent COVID-19 crisis and school closures
Giving Tuesday Now was created in a direct response to the crisis that COVID-19 is having on nonprofits and small businesses around the globe.
RAFT is asking for your support on this global day of giving. RAFT is working to ensure all students in the Bay Area, and millions of students around the globe, have access to learning materials during this pandemic.
RAFT is providing hands-on STEAM Project Kits at meal distribution centers around Santa Clara County to serve Title 1 students, many who don’t have access to the internet, on the Free & Reduced Lunch program.
Our goal is to create new online activities and distribute over 75,000 kits to help keep students engaged, retain knowledge of STEAM subjects, and provide peace of mind for parents and families.
Your contribution will help with the above efforts as well as with the implementation of new virtual professional development opportunities for educators and summer distance learning opportunities for students.

Due to the recent passage of the CARES Act, donors receive the following adjustments for giving during this crisis:
• For those donors who itemize deductions, donors may deduct 100% of their cash gifts to nonprofits with no limit, instead of the usual 60% of AGI (adjusted gross income) maximum when giving directly to a charity.
• For those who do not itemize deductions, there will be an allowable deduction for charitable contributions (not to exceed $300).
• Donors making a planned gift may be able to offset a significant taxable income event in 2020 with a substantial charitable contribution.
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 77-0365627.
All donations to RAFT are tax deductible to the limit allowed by the law.
No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contribution.
