This year’s winner, Ann Clifford of Saint Roberts School in San Bruno, has 31 years of teaching experience and is so excited about science, that her students can’t help but be excited as well. Her weekly hands-on science labs for 6th, 7th and 8th graders are the highlight of week and allow students to explore chemical reactions, biology, physics, mechanical engineering and more. She also encourages her students to bring in current events that involve science which makes it relevant and interesting to them.
“Science isn’t just in a text book. Science is everywhere and I hope my class inspires my students to be curious and inquisitive about the world around them.” Ann Clifford
